No way! 20 UK No1s That Turn 20 Years Old in 2016

I’m feeling *super* nostalgic today.

Listening to some tunes on the Throwback Thursday playlist (have you seen Rob’s experiences on Spotify yet?) got me thinking… some absolute classics from 1996 are TWENTY YEARS OLD this year, which is an incredibly scary concept.

Take a walk down memory lane and enjoy my shortlist of twenty huge hits (all number ones, in fact) that turn twenty years old in 2016. Turn them up loud!

1. Oasis – Wonderwall

2. Reef – Place Your Hands

3. Coolio – Gangster’s Paradise

4. Lighthouse Family – Lifted

5. Take That – How Deep Is Your Love

6. Mark Morrison – Return of the Mack

7. Manic Street Preachers – A Design For Life

8. Blur – Charmless Man

9. Baddiel, Skinner & Lightning Seeds – Three Lions (Football’s Coming Home)

10. Suede – Beautiful Ones

11. Ocean Colour Scene – The Day We Caught The Train

12. Underworld – Born Slippy

13. Faithless – Insomnia

14. Dodgy – Good Enough

15. OMC – How Bizarre

16. Jamiroquai – Virtual Insanity

17. Deep Blue Something – Breakfast At Tiffany’s

18. Sheryl Crow – If It Makes You Happy

19. The Chemical Brothers – Setting Sun

20. The Beautiful South – Rotterdam

Of course, there are several belters that didn’t quite fit in the shortlist, notable contenders include The Prodigy – Breathe, Peter Andre – Mysterious Girl (don’t pretend like you don’t secretly like it..), Spice Girls – 2 Become 1 and Alanis Morissette’s Head Over Feet.

Where the heck has the last twenty years got to?!
